The City of North Bay offers a Business Retention and Expansion program (BR&E), designed to better understand the needs of local firms and identifying ways of helping them remain competitive and grow. 

The program involves confidential interviews/surveys and on-site visits to local businesses. Led by the City’s Economic Development Department, the program is designed to aid in the expansion of existing companies and to help gauge the health of the business community. Coupled with other economic development initiatives such as the North Bay Works Human Resource Support Program, the BR&E program is part of a larger overall growth strategy for the City.
